1. The intermolecular forces between CO2 molecules are very weak and can be overcome at normal temperature and pressure.Due to this, carbon dioxide is a gas.

2. Gases have no definite shape or volume because the molecules of gas are far apart due to weak forces of attraction and because of which they are continuously moving filling the available space.

3. Gases are compressed easily due to little volume of gas molecules in comparision to the space occupied by the gas.The gas molecules are far apart whereas the molecules in liquids are less far and in case of solids molecules are tightly held.Thus, gases are so easily compressible than a liquid and solid
