Solution

Grass is rich in a substance called cellulose which cannot be digested by us. Cows and some other cattle can digest and obtain energy from grass as their stomach contains a special type of symbiotic bacteria which can break down cellulose. Thus the stomach of cattle are designed in such a way that they can easily digest cellulose which we can’t.
