here r 4 containers and Dry cotton wool is placed at the bottom of each container each of them r same sizes:

(a) Soaked bean seeds are kept in the container A and a few drops of water are added daily to moisten the cotton - wool. what will u notice after few days?

(b) Soaked bean seeds r placed in container B but the cotton wool is not moistened. what u notice after few days?

(c) Unsoaked bean seeds r placed in container C without adding water . what u notice in this after few days ?

(d) Soaked seeds r placed in container D water is added sufficiently to submerge the seeds .

in all d containers A<B<C<D an equal no. of seeds from the same lot r kept in the same conditions of light and temperature.

what conclusions would y draw from the results given above.

a- As the soaked seeds in the container A are daily moistened with the water, the germination will take place.

b- The seeds kept in container B become dry due lack of water.

c- As the seed in the container C are unsoaked, and water is also not supplied, they will not be able to break the dormancy. As a result no germination takes place in the container C.

d- The seeds in the container D are fully submerged in water will not germinate because they do not get proper air supply.
