how are protiens positively charged ? how is dna negatively charged?

Most of the proteins are negatively charged but the proteins like histones contain positively charged amino acid residues lysine and arginine which makes them positively charged.

The DNA is negatively charged because of the presence of negatively charged phosphate group.
