how does the brain intrepret the inverted image formed by the eye lens as erect ?

Open in App
Solution

The inverted image is formed by our eye lens because optical lens present in eye is convex type which forms real and inverted image on retina. There are special type of nerves found on retina called as optical nerves. Image formed on retina stimulates the receptor present on these nerves to produce nerve impulses that travel from retina to visual cortex, a special region in brain senses visual perception. These nerve signal is read over there by a complex machinary of brain and image will be upright read by brain. In this way our brain makes inverted images upright by its inborn capacity.
