Open in App
Solution

In the rain gauge, rainwater is gathered and the amount of liquid precipitation is measured over a set period of time.A rain gauge is just a cylinder that catches rain. If an inch collects in the cylinder, it means an inch of rain has fallen. Rainfall as low as 0.01 inches can be measured with this instrument.
