Question

how new organelles form when lysosomes digest then?

Open in App
Solution

The organelles that are worn out are digested by the lysosome, but new organelles are formed by a process called as organelle biogenesis. When one organelle is worn out it does not mean that the cell is devoid of that organelle. There are many organelles which are functional. Organelle biogenesis is the biogenesis or creation, of cellular organelles in the cell. Organelle biogenesis includes the process by which cellular organelles are split between daughter cells during mitosis; this process is called organelle inheritance. Organelles can also be formed by the pre-existing organelles.
