If equal quantities of substrste and competitive inhibitors(drugs) are present, then which one will bind to the enzyme first?

As the name suggests competitive inhibitors, there is always competition between the substrate and competitive inhibitors regardless of the quantities present. Whichever is nearer to the active site of the enzyme will bind first as they both have strong affinity for the active site.
