If in a SOLID state of matter, the particles DONOT have any movement, so how can this justify the third characteristic of particles of matter that is THE PARTICLES OF MATTER ARE IN A CONTINUOUS MOTION ?

In solid state the particles are tightly held and hence cannot leave their designated place however they are in a constantly vibrating or can oscillating about their mean position thus justifying the third characteristic.
