in a factory an electric bulb of 500w is used for 2 hours and an electric motar of 1.5kW power is used for 2 hours every day. calculate the cost of using the bulb and motar for 30days if the cost of electrical energy is Rs.3per unit.

Power of bulb = 500W

Power of motor =1.5kW=1500W

Hours of usage =2hours

Total consumption of electricity per day = (2h×500W) + (2h×1500W) = 4000Wh =4kWh

Total consumption for 30days = 30× 4kWh =120kWh =120 units

Cost of electricity per unit = Rs.3

Therefore, cost of electricity for 30 days = 120×3Rs = Rs.360
