Suppose the salary of Kevin is x.
So, amount that Kevin saves = $x \times \frac{1}{3} = \frac{x}{3}$
Amount that Kevin spent = $x \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{x}{2}$
So the amount that he gives in charity = $x - (\frac{x}{3} + \frac{x}{2}) = x - \frac{5 x}{6} = \frac{x}{6}$
Therefore Kevin gives $\frac{1}{6}$ of his salary in charity.
