papaya is a unisexual plant but both the male and female plant bears fruits. why?

Solution

Papaya tree can have both male and female flowers on the same tree. If such is the case then the tree will bear fruits and will not require any other tree for pollination. Papaya can even have bisexual flowers i.e. male and female portions in the same flowers. Such flower bearing tree would bear fruits as well. The only tree that does not bear fruits is the one with only male flowers.
