Solution

Since prem buys equal quantities of two kind of lemons at the rate of 6 for a rupee and 9 for a rupee.

So, Cost price of one lemon = Rs (6 + 9)/2 = Rs 15/2 = Rs 7.5

given, Selling price of one lemon = Rs 8

Now, Selling price > Cost price

Thus, gain = Rs 8 - Rs 7.5 = Rs 0.5

Hence, gain % = Rs 0.5/Rs 7.5 × 100 = 20/3 = 6.67 %
