Suppose the runs scored by Rahul is x.
Then runs scored by Ram is 3x.
So runs scored together = x + 3x = 230 + 4
$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow 4x=234 \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{234}{4}=58.5 \end{gathered}$$
Since the runs scored can,t be in decimal. so taking 58.5 as 59.
Therefore runs scored by Rahul = 59 runs
And runs scored by Ram = $3\times 59=177$ runs
