Reflection of sound is defined as the bouncing back of sound when it strikes a hard surface. The laws of reflection of sound is same as the laws of reflection of light as,
1) The incident sound wave, the reflected sound wave and the normal at the point of incidence, all lie in the same plane.
2) The angle of reflection of sound wave remains equal to the angle of incidence of sound wave.
The reflection of sound is utilised in the working of devices such as, megaphone, bulb horn, stethoscope, soundboard, etc. All these devices uses multiple reflection of sound waves.
