This reaction is used in development of photographic plate. The sensitive photographic plate or thin celluloid film is coated with an emulsion of AgBr. The latent image of the object is obtained by exposing the sensitive photographic plate. The portion exposed to light gets decomposed into Bromine gas and Silver which appears as the image of the object.
