A freedom fighter who was a doctor by profession got married to a girl he loved. Son after, he was exiled in the cellular jail of Andaman and Nicobar islands, for his involvement in anti-British activities. There he saw that prisoners were constantly tortured for no possible reason. Such circumstances led to a revolt by jail inmates. The doctor being the leader of the revolt was ordered to be hanged till death. The wife who was quite unaware of the proceedings kept waiting for him with enormous hope and faith till her own life came to an end.
