Let the current age of Amina = x years

So, the current age of Kanwar = (x + 3) years

According to the given condition,

(x + 3 – 6) = 4 (x – 6)

⇒ x – 3 = 4x – 24

⇒ – 3x = – 21

⇒ x = 7

Hence, the current age of Amina = 7 years

and the current age of Kanwar = 10 years
