Open in App
Solution

As aresult of denaturation, globules getunfolded and helixes get uncoiled. Secondary and tertiary structuresof protein are destroyed, but the primary structures remainunaltered. It can be said that during denaturation, secondary andtertiary-structured proteins get converted into primary-structuredproteins. Also, as the secondary and tertiary structures of a proteinare destroyed, the enzyme loses its activity.
