Dear Student!!
We use concave type of mirror in the headlights. Because when a source of light (bulb) is placed at the focus of concave mirror, then the light rays emitting from the source move as a parallel rays after reflecting from the surface of concave mirror. This gives a powerful beam of the light to see upto long distance.
