Question

how artificial pollination takes place

Open in App
Solution

Artificial pollination is the technique in which pollination is done manually. This is done in the area where there are no pollinators. It is done so that pollination is successful and occur with the desired pollen.

This is usually done by touching the paint brush on the anther so that pollen can stick on the brush and then dusting that brush on the pistil. It can also be done by collecting the pollens from one plant and spraying them over the pistil.
