The factors that can affect human health can be divided into two categories – intrinsic and extrinsic factors.
  • Intrinsic factors are the diseases causing factors present inside the body. They are allergy, malfunctioning of body parts, hereditary diseases, hormonal imbalance etc.
  • The external factors that cause diseases are known as extrinsic factors. They are infections by microbes, environmental pollution, nutritional disorder etc.
