Solution
1) Some accounts of medieval Indian history are from Persian accounts which are different from modern Persian (e.g. the term “Hindustan” did not include south India within it till the time of Babur.) 2) Coins, architecture, inscriptions and textual records provide information of the events happened during 700 to 1750 CE. (E.g. manuscripts became broadly available). 3) Mobility of people - Many people moved to faraway places looking for opportunity (e.g. rise of Rajputs -the son of a ruler). 4) A study of habitats - Variations in their habitat forced many forest-dwellers to travel, leading to the formation of complicated societies and sub-castes or jatis.
