(a) isotonic solution

(b) hypotonic solution

(c) hypertonic solution

(d) water

Solution

Nothing fills the space between plasma membrane and cell wall in a plasmolysed cell, except of some signalling molecules which are already present between cell wall and plasma membrane.
ā€‹ Cells become plasmolysed ( loose water ) when placed in hypertonic (more concentrated solution). Due to loss of water, the protoplast along with plasma membrane shrinks away the rigid cell wall. The lost water from protoplast moves out of the cell passing through the cell wall.
