When two dice are thrown then total no. of possible outcomes = 36
Now , the outcomes in which we get a multiple of 3 as the sum are :
{(1,2); (1,5) ; (2,1) ; (2,4) ; (3,3) ; (3,6) ;(4,2); (4,5) ; (5,1) ; (5,4); (6,3); (6,6)}
no. of favorable outcomes = 12
required probability = no. of favorable outcomestotal possible outcomes = 1236 = 13
