Question

Two liquids May or may not be miscible with each other but two gases rapidly diffuse with one another

Open in App
Solution

The forces of attraction between gases are very weak due to which intermixing of molecules of different gases is facilitated but the forces of attraction between molecules a liquid are not so weak. Hence, the molecules of a liquid may or may not allow the molecules of other liquid to take their place and thus two liquids may or may not be miscible with each other but two gases rapidly diffuse with one another.
