Solution

Heat capacity:

It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of the whole body through 1degree Celsius or 1K.It depends on the mass of material.

SI unit = J/K

Specific heat capacity:

It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of unit mass of the substance through unit degree. It is independent of the mass of material.

SI unit = J/kg-K

Latent heat :

It is the heat required or released by a substance to change its state without change in its temperature.

SI unit = J/kg.
