What do you mean by a circular loop(as it is mentioned in chapter- magnetic effects of electric current)

Open in App
Solution

Answer:

We know that, when electric current through a metallic conductor produces a magnetic field around it.

For instance, if we bent a straight wire into a loop and then, electric current through this circular loop creates magnetic field which is more concentrated in the center of the circular loop than outside the loop. Every point of a current carrying circular loop, the concentric circles representing the magnetic field around it would become larger and larger as we move away from the wire.
