what gives rise to the pressure of gas?

Open in App
Solution

The molecules in a gaseous state are free to move and they can move in a random manner in the container. During that motion they collide with one another and also with the walls of the container. Due the collision in between particle the molecules collide with wall of container with a force this creates a pressure in the whole system which is measured as force per unit area.
