what happens if the eggs or zygote fertilizes in the fallopian tube during reproduction?

Open in App
Solution

Egg fuse with the sperm in the fallopian tube and form zygote. This zygote then moves into the uterus. While moving towards uterus it also undergo the process of cleavage and turn into a 32 celled structure called as blastocyst which then finally implants into the uterine wall. When the implantation occurred the individual can then be said pregnant. Implantation of the blastocyst occurs after a week of fertilization has taken place.

  • Zygote is the fertilized product of sperm and egg.
