Bacterial leaf blight of rice is a disease of rice plant caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas oryzae. In this disease, the plant shows appearance of yellow or green coloured spots on the leaf blades starting from leaf tips and then spread towards the leaf margins. As the disease progresses, these yellow lesions turns to white. Infected leaves get dried quickly and the whole plant soon start wilting.
