Question

What is basic difference between matrix and protoplasm?

Open in App
Solution

Matrix is any space which is viscous because of special functional materials it contains.

The cytoplasm along with the cellular organelles is called protoplasm i.e., protoplasm = Cytoplasm + nucleus.

So matrix can be in a cell or outside the cell but protoplasm is always a part of the cell.
