What is Green India Mission?

The Green India mission is an environmental mission launched by the Government of India to increase forest cover on 5 million hectares of land and improve the quality of forest cover on another 5 million hectares. It is a part of eight missions under the National Action Plan on Climate Change designed to combat the trend of changing climate due to environmental degradation.
