Open in App
Solution

Pasteurisation is the process of heating drinks and foods at high temperature and then allow them to cool before packaging. This process aims to reduce the number of microorganisms instead of killing all of them.
Honey that has to be stored for a long period of time at room temperature, is heated at a temperature of 70oC (pasteurisation) to kill any yeast that may harm the quality of honey.
