The bouncing back of sound from a surface is called reflection of sound.

Following two laws constitute the law of reflection of sound:

1. Whenever a sound bounces back from a surface the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.
2. The incident sound, the reflected sound and the normal lie on the same plane.
