Solution

Thalassemia occurs by the mutation in the genes that make haemoglobin present in the red blood cells. It is an inherited autosomal recessive blood disorder . It leads to the weakening and destruction of red blood cells. It involves formation of abnormal form of hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen.
Patients of thalassemia suffer from anaemia, iron overload, bone deformities and cardiovascular illness, etc. Patients with severe thalassemia require repetitive blood transfusion.

Graves disease is an autoimmune disease that affects thyroid gland. It mainly causes enlargement of thyroid gland (goiter) and overactivity of thyroid gland. The symptoms are increased heartbeat, muscle weakness, disturbed sleep, irritability and bulging of eyes etc.
