Question

what is the difference b/w eddy current and induced current by faradays experiment

Open in App
Solution

Hi,
Faraday's experiment suggested that when magnetic flux linked with a conductor changes then a current induced in it.
And Focult find that this induced current in the conductor is in the form of closed loops and called the 'eddy current' as they are like eddies or whirl pools.
Eddy currents are the currents induced in a conductor due to change in the magnetic flux linked with it.
