Question

what would happen to the number of lions if all the deer suddenly disappeared from the forest?

Open in App
Solution

Food chain and food web will be disturbed as lion will try to feed upon other herbivores and their number will be reduced. Other thing is if deers are not present grass will be more and animals who graze the grass will have more availability of grass. Reduction in number of deers also lead to starvation for lions as their major diet is deer. Their will be slight decrease in number of lions.
