Question

When doctors inject medicine into our body, how do they know in which vein should they inject the medicine because there are so many veins in our body. And also do they inject the medicine at the end of a vein or at the centre of that vein? Give reason why.

Solution

Dear Aman.
There are two types of blood vessels- arteries and veins. Arteries are located deep inside the skin while the veins are located superficially in the skin and are easily visible at some regions like upper side of hand, front side of elbow etc. Doctors inject the medicine in these visible veins only.
Also, medicine can be injected in any vein and mostly at the centre that is easily visible which then circulates through the body through blood.
