Since there are 6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup> particles in one mole of a substance, therefore 197g of gold will contain 6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup> atoms of gold. Hence</p> <p>Number of atoms in 197g of gold = 6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup> </p> <p>Number of atoms in 1g of gold = (6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup>) / 197 = 3.057 X 10<sup>21</sup> </p> <p>Similarly, the molar mass of silver is 108g. Therefore </p> <p>Number of atoms in 108g of silver = 6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup> </p> <p>Number of atoms in 1g of silver = (6.022 X 10<sup>23</sup>) / 108 = 5.576 X 10<sup>21</sup> </p> <p>Hence, the number of atoms in 1g of silver are more than number of atoms in 1g of gold. </p>
