Question

why are battries connected in series in a circuit and not parallel?

Open in App
Solution

We connect batteries in the series to increase the voltage in the circuit, voltage of all the batteries added up and volatage across the circuit increases.
When we connect batteries in parallel across the circuit remains same i.e. Battery which has maximum voltage, will be the voltage across the circuit.
