why do the apical meristem, the intercalary meristem and the lateral meristem lack vacuoles?

Open in App
Solution

Vacuole is a cell organelle used to store waste materials and ergastic substances and usually big and more in number in mature cells. As meristematic cells are dividing and young, they do not have any waste material to store so vacuoles are usually absent in the meristematic cells .
