In Harappa, Mohenjodaro as well as ancient Egypt, the dead were buried along with goods. This was because it was widely speculated at that time that those dead still required these goods after the demise. They generally consisted of everyday use objects like combs, stone vessels, bowls, food etc. The women were buried along with jewellery items like copper rings, necklaces, anklets and bangles etc
