why does a paper ball acquire zigzag motion and does not go into a bottle when air is blown on it to force it into the bottle

When you blow at the mouth of the bottle,you force air into the bottle.This compresses the air inside the bottle which increases the air pressure inside,which causes it to pop out.So, it becomes difficult to force a crushed paper ball and it acquire a zig zag motion.
