Menopause is an event that occurs at the mid age of a female. It usually occurs at 40s but sometimes it can be early also. At the mid age woman stops producing eggs and lesser amount of female hormones secrete. This reduction in hormone secretion results in termination of regular menstrual cycle. A woman starts ovulation or formation of eggs by birth. As years pass the ovaries also grow older and gradually loss their efficiency. Thus after reaching 40 -45 years of age the ovaries loss their ability to produce eggs and hormones like before.
