why has shakesphere included the pleading of metalis cimber beforecaesar act 3 scene 2 the conspiration assasistant caesar
It is in the Act 3, Scene 1 that Metalus Cimber pleads to Caesar for enfranchisement of his brother. Though nothing is specifically mentioned in the play, the purpose of this incident was to involve Caesar in conversation and stab him at the right moment. It becomes a justifiable occasion for conspirators to kill Caesar because he alone was against the enfranchisement of Publius Cimber and therefore, tyrannical by their logic. For them, to kill him was to bring liberty, freedom, enfranchisement to Rome.
