why is it said that the principles of management are universal?
When it is said that the principles of management are universal in nature, it means that these principles have universal applicability. That is, they are used by all the organisations whether they are large or small, working whether for profit or non-profit organisations, public sector or private sector companies, etc. For instance, the principle of discipline is followed in a private sector company wherein, the work is done with obedience to the organisational rules and policies. Similarly, the same principle of discipline is also followed in a government office wherein, both managers and the workers honour their commitments towards the work. However, it should be noted that the extent of the applicability of these principles depend on the type of business organisations.
