Open in App
Solution

Dear Student!

Agrobacterium tumefaciens is a bacteria which is used as a vector to introduce desired gene in the plant which can either make them resistant to pests or droughts but alone this bacteria is not able to transform plants and can cause crown gall disease in dicot plants. The plasmid of this bacteria has to be genetically engineered to get the desired result.
