Solution

Hi! Subramanya
Sound requires a medium to travel as the particles of the medium acts like wave carrier. The mechanical vibrations that can be interpreted as sound are able to travel through all forms of matter: gases, liquids, solids, and plasma. Sound cannot travel through vacuum.
