Step-1
Take a beaker and add 60 mL of water in it. Carefully observe the level of water.
Step-2
Now add 16 g of sugar into its and stir it with glass rod.
Observation-
After sometime the sugar disappear and level of water does not rise.
Inference-
This shows that sugar particle are so small in size that the level of water do not changes and they enter into the small space formed due to water molecule association.
Thus, sugar is a matter which occupy space and whose particle are small in size.
